Vietnam Business Trade Delegation
Our SCTIE representatives had the chance to engage with members from the Vietnam Trade Office and embassy at the Olive Convention Centre on 4 November. Here we promoted our market potential and opportunities for trade co-operation. As it stands, there are already KZN-based agro-processing businesses that are successfully trading with Vietnam.
BPESA GBS Conference and Alchemy Awards
Our representatives attended the BPESA [Business Process Enabling South Africa] GBS [Global Business Services] Conference at the Premier Hotel in Umhlanga from 8 to 10 November. This was an opportunity to learn more about the fastest-growing sector of Business Process Outsourcing (BPOs) in the country and showcase the potential our KZN South Coast workforce offers.
Business Chamber Breakfast
On 25 November, we built on the success of the Chamber of Commerce Roadshow at this networking event where the CEO presented the investment promotion framework, encouraging businesses to submit information that can be included on the SCTIE App.
MEC 100 Days in Office and Beyond Ugu Business Indaba
The MEC’s 100 Days in Office and Beyond at Ugu Sports and Leisure Complex on 26 November formed part of the Business Indaba. Hosted in conjunction with TIKZN, TKZN and EDTEA, this gave our local investment marketing exhibitors a chance to showcase the impact of economic transformation on our locally-owned businesses.
KZN Export Week
From 29 to 30 November, we enjoyed the chance to network at the KZN Export Week where we identified opportunities for collaboration and areas of investment potential.
