Ugu Film Festival
From 20 to 22 October, we were excited to once again attract local and international filmmakers to the annual Ugu Film Festival, hosted at the Margate Sands Hotel. This was a prime opportunity to show the region’s many attractive attributes as a film destination.
The Conservation Symposium
SCTIE won the bid for the KZN South Coast to host more than 400 in-person and virtual delegates from 22 countries at The Conservation Symposium which ran from 30 October to 5 November. Talks by leading experts, networking, and discussions were held at Premier Resort’s Cutty Sark Hotel and Dream Hotel’s Blue Marlin in Scottburgh, with many local establishments showcasing the diverse tourism offerings of this top MICE destination. Delegates visited Ntelezi Msani Heritage Centre, enjoyed a frogging outing at TC Robertson, an evening at Crocworld Conservation Centre, a paddling tour of the Mahlongwa River, and trail runs at Rocky Bay.
