Investment Projects and Partnerships
To boost our investment portfolio, SCTIE has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal (TIKZN). This will not only potentially position us as a ‘One Stop Shop’ for investment, but also combine our marketing and investor facilitation services through incentive schemes, tourism support, and identifying agro-processing opportunities.
We already have catalytic investment projects including:
- John Mason Park (Umtentweni): Ray Nkonyeni Municipality has undertaken this R638-million development which will include residential units, a conference facility, offices, a hotel, an amphitheatre, a waterpark, a public auditorium, and restaurant facilities. SCTIE will oversee the implementation of the project, from concept to completion.
- IFAFA Industrial Park: This is a long-term Greenfield project being developed on SCTIE-owned land. While still in the proposal stage, the aim is to develop this into a light industrial zone.
